Effective September 20, Delta Air Lines will add FNT-ATL service: three daily CRJ, two on Saturday. The new service will be operated by Comair DBA Delta Connection. It will supplement four existing FNT-CVG flights.
Not exactly – NW, DL and several other carriers are forced to match many of FL’s fares (especially those to/from ATL) ex-DTW… FNT has preformed extremely well for DL – mostly at the expense of DTW (three years ago DL flew three B763 and several B752 ATL/DTW exclusively… now it’s nothing but MD-88 – and a couple of B732 have crept onto the schedule).
Myself I would take the 717 over a regional jet any day of the week. Although for the FNT market you normally would have to fly a smaller plane and then connect on most any destination offer from FNT with the exception of flying to a hub city. So for the die hard DL fans and mileage whores it is a good thing, like Martha would say.
Take that TOL fans? Hmm...good for FNT. This brings them to 7 DL flights now...our 13th started a couple days ago. Then later this fall we have 3 flights to DFW coming online as well...I say we are doing well. However, this is a FNT thread. Good job guys!
It was pure sarcasm, no offense meant... when will DL begin TOL-DFW? I’m not doubting that you could have inside information, but it seems out of character for the DFW hub & it’s certainly not on the schedule…
