Question About DC-9-30s

Wed Aug 06, 2003 9:03 am

I know the difference between the MD81, MD82 (more powerful engines), MD83 (longer range), MD87 and MD88, but what is the difference between the DC-9-31, DC-9-32, etc..? Is it just different engine thrust ratings or range, or both?
 Big thumbs up
Caution wake turbulence, you are following a heavy jet.

The -32 is an increased weight version of the -31 but is dimensionally the same. The -33 and -34 are longer range versions with a modified wing (I think).
I work for Southwest, but the views expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent those of Southwest.
