URL for Skytrax is http://www.airlinequality.com/index.htm
(Haven't had much of a chance look at Skytrax yet...)
All I'll add is that in a very informal Ryanair survey of several folks I know in our London office, I got:
* They're usually fairly cheap
* But not as cheap as they're reputed to be - not too many folks get to use those one pound fares.
* And you have to consider that for some destinations, ground transport is more expensive and takes longer
* In short: you get what you pay for
* Punctuality not too bad
Not a scientific survey, I admit.
The one thing that I did notice was that not a single person actually said they would CHOOSE Ryanair as their first choice - only reason anyone ever flew on them was price. I've never heard anyone say they would every recommend Ryanair over competitors (presuming price is the same) the way people do about Southwest or JetBlue.
I'd actually be willing to pay a bit more for JetBlue from NYC to Florida: I get a new plane, live TV
, and good, friendly service. But I've never had to, and that's even better! (No, I don't work for JetBlue...)
