The jetbridges are used at DFW
, although I cannot be 100% sure about HOU
. I can find out for you tomorrow (Sat) and I'll post here to you.
The CR7 is a nice plane overall. The only thing that *might* be improved is the seat width. The seat config is 2x2 seating, so the only way to increase seat width would be to change it to 1x2 seating. That would entail removing about 15-18 seats, and I don't see any CR7 operator doing that. So, make sure you like your seatmate, as you'll rub shoulders a bit.
Other than that, the ride is smooth. Cabin has decent headroom for a 71" tall person. The engines & APU are located aft, so it's a quiet ride. I'm sure that you get higher noise during take off & landing while sitting in the very back, but the engines used are very quiet, so any engine noise is relatively liveable.
American Eagle had the planeside Valet Baggage service on *ALL
* their flights, so no worries about finding that roller bag that is a big to wide to go on board.
The CR7 is quite the improvement from the days when the J-31/J-32 aircraft were the norm for regionals!
