BRS' History - First Airlines And Routes?

Wed Aug 13, 2003 12:31 am

I know that Imperial Airways and KLM were among the first airlines to operate flights (in the '30s) from Bristol (then Whitchurch). One of the first flights was to Lisbon. Which airline and aircraft operated this route?

Which other routes were flown and by which airlines and aircraft until the '70s?

I believe that Court Line had a big presence at BRS in the '70s, until its collapse in '73. Can you tell me the routes it operated? Were all flights aboard the 1-11?

Thanks.

James.
