Interesting approach......when CX
was looking at JFK
nonstop with A343, it was rumored that their flights would also be geared to business passengers with either no economy seating or a very limited economy class section.
I guess this makes sense for several reasons:
17-19 hours nonstop in a conventional coach cabin is very long and can get very uncomfortable, regardless of the IFE system and good cabin service.
Revenue is optimized by offering only business/first seats.....I imagine cargo capcacity on these long haul flights will be limited to ensure that nonstop service can be offered, so atleast there is money to be made in the passenger cabin.
Is this going to be the beginning of a trend........airlines offering a FIRST CLASS fleet and an economy fleet?
