SAS MD-90@ZRH

Sun Aug 17, 2003 8:01 am

Tomorrow SAS is to operate a MD-90 instead a MD-87 in ZRH on the early evening flight. Hope the don't change its mind and we will see this rare bird for ZRH. Would be nice if SAS will bring the MD-90 on a scheduled basis to ZRH....

Which airlines operate the MD90s?
I only know SAS in Europe and DL in the US.
Anyone with further knowledge about the MD90?

JAS in Japan, now part of Japan Airlines has MD90s, as does Saudi Arabian and there is an airline in China (China Eastern, I believe) that flies them. There is also UNI out of Taiwan. There are probably some airlines operating a few here and there.

At the last update of Bill Harms list, last December, the operators were:

China Eastern Airlines
China Northern Airlines
EVA Air (leased)
Far Eastern Air Transport (leased)
UNI Air
Saudi Arabian Airlines
Japan Air System
Delta Airlines
Scandinavian Airlines
AMC Aviation

A total of 117 MD-90's were built.

Hope this helps!
