Anyone Visited Riga (RIX) Airport?

Sat Aug 23, 2003 5:43 am

Has anyone ever visited the Riga airport in lettland/latvia?
I think that LH has a service from FRA.

Is RIX a large airport?

Well, I did it last time less than a year ago... obviously, used to do it way more often before I came to the US, especially before 1992. No, the airport is rather small (but, AFAIK, the biggest in the three Baltic states... OK, Riga is the biggest city there). SK was the first foreign airline to start flying there (either in 1989 or in 1990) but you won't see them there now - Air Baltic does it instead, being their close partner. Other airlines: AY, LH, OK, LO, BA, OS plus, of course, some others from the former USSR. More information here http://www.riga-airport.com.
