Well that's great news. Hope to see the RRJ series built! Might be nice to see Embraer and Bombardier face some cometition. Glad to see some Western Airlines in that list...perhaps the biased stigma of Russian aircraft is finally headed for the grave.

B4e, I agree with your comments. The Russians can sure build some rugged, reliable aircraft -- it will be interesting to see.

Agreed and its about time the Russian government starts giving in more interest in its civil aviation industry. They did not support even the TU 204 properly whilst it being a great airliner. The Russian Regional Jet needs support from Russian govt. otherwise it will also end up like the TU 204.

I think what has helped to bring interest from the Western airlines is that Boeing is part of the project. With them involved, it does give the RRJ some instant credibility.
