Taking Pictures Of Security Checkpoints

Pictures of security checkpoints are available all over the place. So what the beef with people taking more of them?
Last year 1,944 New Yorkers saw something and said something.

I don't quite understand your question...but....

They're probably taken by journalists. Some guy in shorts and flip flops taking pictures of a security checkpoint would probably be cause for concern.

What's the difference between a journalist taking a pic (to be presumably be published in a newspaper) and a regular joe blow taking the pics?
