MOF Looking For ID On Mystery Plane

Tue Aug 26, 2003 4:01 am

The Seattle based Museum of Flight has a topic on it's website, requesting to identify a quite mysterious 2-seater on floats. I searched everything I have but I can't find anything on this.
Perhaps a member on this forum can help, or an "on-looker", just follow the link:

Personally, I am very curious about this strange looking aircraft as well...

I've just emailed the Museum to tell them it's a Paramount Sportster - the example in the photo crashed back in May '31.

Does my respect rating go up now? Big grin

Wow, only one ever built! (According to Aerofiles.com). And the plane only lasted two years.

Backfire, how on earth did you know that? Only one plane was built, and crashed over 70 years ago! And you recognized it? Your respect rating does indeed go up in my book.  Smile
Next flight.... who knows.

Backfire,
I don't know about your RR but you are now certainly on MY respected users list.
Thanks.
