YYZ Infield Terminal

Tue Aug 26, 2003 11:23 pm

Yesterday, while transiting through Toronto, I noticed (from my gate at T3) the Toronto Infield Terminal. When was this built? I noticed an AC 744 and a OS 343 parked there. I imagine this is temporary until the new terminal is finished... How many gates are there? Any info is appreciated...

Not sure exactly how many gates, 8 I believe. It was built as an overflow to ease congestion once old T1 is broken down and before the full T1New comes online. It is connected by large people movers that tunnel under the infield to T1 right now. I arrived there from GCM once, it's actually very nice inside. I think plan calls for it to be extra charter and/or overflow gate space once the whole new terminal is up and running. There is info on this at gtaa.com under redevelopment.
