So I guess this means that ZRH-BKK-SIN on the 343 will be postponed - it was supposed to start on Sep 1 03 but looks like it's been pushed till Oct 1 03...

Hi!

I saw in the SWISS homepage that the dates of Nrs 2 and 3 were delayed by Airbus, otherwise things look smooth for them!

I saw it too on the Swiss website, but two days ago. Now the whole website is new and I haven't found that information (yet) on the new homepage.

Hi Dtswi.

I saw that in the "old" SWISS homepage. When you opened there was down a menu about the new A340, when you open that it would come out will all the new things the A340 have, also there was a kind of schedule were you could see the introduction of the A340 in SWISS Winter 2003 timetable, there it was a note saying that the next two 340's were delayed by Airbus.

Hi Dtswi!

Good to know that you're flying to GVA in the Jumbolino. I'm now with my family living until December in California and we'll returning back to Portugal on the brand new SWISS 343!!! In our flight to LAX we flew the MD11 - HB-IWM - now we hope to get a grand new 343!!! But before I knew that I tried to change my reservation with SWISS and tried to fly LAX/JFK with AA and then get the GVA SWISS flight with the 332 and then the Jumbolino to LIS but they didn't allowed me! Anyway I found out latter that from end November SWISS would start with the brand new 343 so I'm glad with that! Have you been in GVA before? It's a great place to see planes. My first ever flight was from LIS to GVA with SWISSAIR, a DC-9-51!!! Latter I flew there in the DC-9-81 SWISSAIR twice. I also took off from there in a Iberia 727-200 and the good TAP 707-382B, CS-TBG but that was a long time ago!
Regards and good flight!

Hello CV990,

Thanx for yr message. Yes, I know GVA quite well, studied there and lived there 4 years up to Nov 1995. Nice place to see planes, that's right (Faro is much better with possibility to park your car on side dusty road and almost "touch" the airplanes !).

I flew myself also often Swissair's DC-9, Tap 707 once and often TAP's 727 (not to mention the 732...!)

Wish you a nice trip on brand new 343

PS: you have any idea about my former question re. A320 of Swiss Sun ? When are they delivered ? Thanks  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Dtswi / CV990

When did they change the time of the LIS-GVA flight? It's really not that good anymore... It's too bad they have no more Codeshare with TAP, Specially fot Zurich it was great having 4 flights a day ZRH-LIS. Now they depart at virtually the same time...

About the A340, it's still in the net:

Some things are still very strange on the new Homepage. I can't access my travelclub account from the swiss SWISS site. However from the local portuguese SWISS site it seems to work...
