Thank you for the quick response.
I find Intersky's concept of being a low(er)-fare REGIONAL airline very interesting, because if it succeeds - and I strongly hope so - this will be a good answer for many smaller regional airports, which keep losing mainline service except for some hub routes.
My local airport, DTM
, is a good example for that. Until two years ago, we had a large EW
base here with nonstop flights to all the major European business centers. Nowadays, there's a LH
service to MUC
and flights to some other German airports (THF
etc.) by smaller third-tier carriers. AB
has stepped in to some extent and is offering flights to a few popular metropolitain areas (e.g. STN
), but still this network leaves a lot to be desired. Airlines like Intersky could fill in the voids by offering flights to cities, which are no longer served by LH
, but with catchment areas too small to warrant services by low cost carriers using larger aircraft like the 737.
Anyway, I am strongly promoting your new service with my friends in the Lake Constance region, and hope to fly Intersky later this year when I am going to visit them.
