Frontier Begins SNA Service

Mon Sep 01, 2003 2:55 am

Greetings All,

Frontier Airlines just operated it's inaugural flight into Orange Co. (SNA), with A319 N907FR. Spoke with a couple reps. and they indicated that the airline will operate two A319s until October 1st when a 3rd flight operated with a 737-300 will be added. Additionally once the A318 is noise tested here at SNA they will operate here as well.

That's all for now....................Stay tuned.

Once the A318 is noise tested? Isn't that thing going to be really quiet like the 320s and 319s? So how many cities does Frontier serve in CA now?

So does SNA basically complete the list for all the major airports in CA being served by Frontier? I think it does!

Frontier tried Oakland, but it didn't last. Burbank and Long Beach are the only second tier airports not served by Frontier.

Continental,

One of the LGB/SNA guys can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe US Airways is pulling out of Orange County soon.
