Northwest has always treated me well.
I have come to expect the things that they pride themselves on "ontime, reliable, clean service with your luggage."
On my recent international trip in C class I flew with both a DTW
crew on the DTW
and a MSP
crew on the NRT
and the service was remarkable. I equally enjoy the ground crews and flight crews on shorter domestic flights. I can remember several occassions- especially on the ground crew side- where gate agents have gone way above and beyond for me and left me thinking - "wow! would UA
have ever even thought about helping me out that much??"
Northwest has come a long way in the past few years. If you get a chance read the USA Today article about how DTW
handled the power outage, it serves as a great contrast between the Northwest of Jan '99 and the Northwest of today!
The WorldGateway in DTW
is simply the best hub, sure its a mile long, but I have made connections in under 5mins from one end to the other.
The A330 features all the latest bells and whistles for Business Class and the Main Cabin.
They were the first "major" to offer Internet checkin- and look how the others have all followed this great- time saving idea. They now have eticket machines all over the country. The website is superb too!
There are so many great things to say about NW
- they are good value for money and things are only getting better (like the new seats that will be installed into Business Class on the 747-400!)
