Seatplan On A300B4. Info Needed!

Wed Sep 10, 2003 12:20 am

Hi all,

Tomorrow morning at 6 I'm flying an Airbus A300B4 (MNG Airlines). We've been assigned to seats 9 g-h-k on this charter a/c.

My question is: do you know if the k-seat is near the right window ? Or is g-h-k in the middle of the plane. Because I believe the A300 is in 3-3-3 configuration, I think g-h-k must be on the right side of the a/c when seated.

I didn't find a picture of the interior of the MNG but did find another Turkish charter A300, Onur Air:

Any information is welcome and... don't wait too long because I'm leaving tomorrow!

Thanks, SN-A330
I would rather be flying...

TC-MNE is indeed scheduled to operate the flight to AYT of 6am tomorrow morning.

The aircraft has 309 Y seats.

I didn't find any configuration details of the aircraft  Sad

But... I'm 99% sure that g-h-k is at the right side of the aircraft (with 'k' being the window seat).

Enjoy your holiday!

Regards
Frederic

Sabena690, Air Inter (IT) the French Domestic Airline was operating a big fleet of A300-B2/B4 in about the same configuration : 314 Y seats, in 3-3-3 of course, and g/h/k were the 3 seats on the right side of the plane, I' am 99% sure you'll find the same tomorrow.

Have a nice flight ! you are Lucky to fly a good old A300 !!!

@Sabena332: thanks !

I looked up the aircraft and found this about it :
A300F4-203
CF6-50C2
08/05/86
KOREAN AIR
[LST MNB AS TC-MNC]

Not correct, SN-A330!

You looked up TC-MNC, one of the A300F's of MNG (freighters).

MNG only operates one pax A300: TC-MNE, in blue TUI colours.

TC-MNE:
x ex-ZS-SDH (so ex-South African Airlines)
x c/n 222
x manufacturing date: 0082
x delivery date to MNG: 0501
x 2 GE CF6-50C2 engines
x maximum take off weight: 165000 kilo
x name: Topkapi
x SELCAL: FG-DE
x A300B4-203

At 6am tomorrow morning, there is also a B734 of MNG leaving to Dalaman, make sure that you double check your gate to avoid an arrival in Dalaman!! Big grin

And last but not least: I didn't find any MNG flight this afternoon/evening operated with the A300, so your aircraft should have to be on the ground already!

I suppose being able to fly an older A300 should be an interesting experience, but I'm not sure that I'd call myself lucky to be crammed into 9-across seating. Sounds terribly uncomfortable; I hope your flight isn't too long!

@Sabena 690 : you're the greatest !

And if I get on the plane do Dalaman, I'll post a trip report wwhen I get back, about a hiking trip between Dalaman and Antalya.

I'll do a check to see when the a/c arrived in BRU today.

I was too fast!

Flight plan from TC-MNE today: (times GMT):

MNB 308 BRUBJV 0400 0730
MNB 307 BJVAYT 0900 1000
MNB 307 AYTBRU 1130 1530

The aircraft landed safely at BRU around 17h local (slightly more than 30 minuts early).

Anyway, once again: enjoy your flights + holiday! Big grin

I hope for you that the flight is not too cramped (the big holiday season is over), if you are lucky there will some spare rows around you (always more comfortable to have the seat next to you empty, certainly in a cramped charter!). Friends of me flew MNG 2 years ago, and they got a hot meal! Flight was only 50% full.

Regards
Frederic

The Biac-website says that the A300 landed today at 16:54 from Antalya, flightnumber MNB 307.

@Scottb : I can call myself lucky I think, because after a 3,5 hours flight I'll be with my @ss on a Turkisch beach sipping a cocktail.

And our friend SN-A330 had an on-time departure to AYT! Big grin

Seen the flight time, he will have landed now.

Enjoy your cocktail! Big grin And your holiday in general, it's grey, windy and rainy over here  Sad

Frederic
