Does KLM Still Operate The 747-200 Freighter?

Mon Sep 15, 2003 1:30 am

Or have they phased out all the 747-200Fs and replaced them by 747-400Fs?

I think they are phased out now.

They still do operate one 747-206 with a SUD,converted into a freighter, but it will be fased out when the last new 747-406ERF is delivered.

Killerbabe, incorrect. Both B747-200 freighters have left the KLM fleet. The PH-BUI (now N746SA) went to Southern (and if everything goes according to plan it will be back at AMS on lease to an African cargo operator in a few months). The other 747-200 freighter (PH-BUH) is flying for Matinair.

KLM only operates 2 B747-400ERF.
