Anyone Been To The National Air Tour?

Mon Sep 15, 2003 9:48 am

With the National Air Tour being more than halfway over, anyone had a chance to go any of the stops? I'm planning to be down at FFC (Falcon Field, Peachtree City, GA) Wednesday afternoon when the planes are scheduled to start arriving (first plane scheduled around 12 p.m.). The route of the tour is the route of the Air Tour of 1932, which was cancelled because of the Depression. They have a great number of historical a/c on the tour, including a Ford Tri-Motor, a DC-3, several Travel Airs, several Wacos, A Stintson Tri-Motor, and some Sikorsky seaplanes. Should be neat to see, here's the website highlighting the entire tour, including the a/c:

I was just at Jabara Airport in Wichita yesterday to see it. It was great, a lot of nice well-restored classic aircraft. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. I would reccomend checking it out.
