In European flights IB
inflight service is satisfactory. Free newspapers, meals not bad, wine or beer included, etc.
just announced that from 2004 on, no free meals will be served in Economy class. There will be a choice of menus, but the customer will have to pay. I am not sure this is a right move, probably it is not a big nuisance for the shorter flights (Spain to France, UK or Italy), but for example MAD
takes about 4 hours, too much time for not being fed. I do not think it is a good move to make IB
like a no-frills airline, if I have to fly across the continent next year I will try to use the competition (JK, LH
, etc) that at least feeds me.
