How Many 767 Have Crashed?

Sat Sep 20, 2003 5:45 am

The ones I can think of:

-200

American (murder)
United (murder)
Ethiopia (murder)
Air China

-300

Lauda Air
Egypt Air (murder?)

ANY MORE???  Confused

Have any been scrapped yet?

Didn't US Airways have to scrap one, not a crash, but an incident

I know the following QF 767-200ER's have been sent to the yards at Marana in Arizona already, I assume these will be scrapped and will not get any further airtime VH-EAJ,EAK. VH-EAL will be sent there in October.

Apparently EAJ and EAK are being modified for cargo use.

An ex-TW 767-200ER has also been scrapped - it was the first 767 to be scrapped which was not involved in accident or otherwise. There is a pic of it in the database.

I guess you could count the Air Canada Gimli Glider that ran out of fuel in this list...seeing as it had to be repaired before it could fly out of Gimli, Manitoba

Since the AC hull wasn't lost it would not normally be included in this list.

I think UPS wrote-off the 767 involvrd in a landing accident at one of the Houston airports.
