ABX Air To Get New Paint Scheme

Tue Sep 23, 2003 5:37 am

Just found out today from ABX Air management that a new paint scheme has been approved. They are only going to repaint the DC-9s and 767s. The new scheme is white with a grey belly, red cheat line down the window line, ABX Air logo on forward fuselage and a enlarged ABX Air "A" on a red tail. There are three DC-9s waiting to go into paint, not sure when the first 767 will be painted.

They've need to standardize the paint scheme of the 767s & the rest of the fleet. This new scheme doesn't sound particularly inspired but look forward to seeing it.

I'm surprized they would not consider something closer to the new DHL livery, such as the same scheme with just the different name.

Anyway, I agree with Lindy Field, it does not sound very inspired.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.
