What Happened To Canada 3000's Planes?

Tue Sep 23, 2003 10:36 am

Hi everyone. I am curious as to what happened to Canada 3000's fleet? What airlines did their aircraft end up with?

Scattered far and wide.

The 332's I believe went to Volare initially.

At least 2 752's went to Cameroon Airlines at least temporarily (there are now reports that Cameroon's national carrier has been shut down -- Canada should be so lucky).

At least 2 313's are still in storage in the UK.

The 732 fleet was largely grounded. At least one 732 remains at YYZ where it has not been flown since the C3 shutdown.

The 320/319 fleet fared better.....several migrated immediately to Skyservice. One ex-C3 320 actually went to AC briefly.

The sole 343 is now flying with Air Tahiti Nui (my parents flew this aircraft to Papeete last fall and were surprized that all the inflight catering equipment still has C3 logos!)

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Easiest way to find out is to follow this link;
http://www.airlinerlist.com

List histories for each aircraft, and it's updated monthly. If you search the relevant lists (757, A310, A320, A330 etc) for Canada 3000 you can find out what happened to each aircraft and when.

Also if you search the airliners.net photo database you'll see several recent photos of some aircraft in storage (757s) and some others (A310s) which are here in the UK being broken up for spares

At least some of C3's 732s were at YXD. At least a handful still are.

I know that one of the A320s (c/n 397) has been with Armenian International Airways for almost a year now with EK-32001 reg.

Probably two A310s are parked but don't know their c/n

Go to airlinerlist.com as CROSSWIND says, I find the lists very helpful and easy too.

Best regards.
