Tue Sep 23, 2003 7:41 pm

I could tell you but then they'll have to kill you  Big grin

Most likely JFK as this weekend there was a lot of "advanced team" activity.

I believe I read he would be coming in by helicopter...but I can't recall where so this is not confirmed.

On June 23rd I saw Air Force one at JFK, so I think it will arrive at JFK again but I am not sure.

Twalives,

A good possibility. I saw 3 "Marine One" helicopters land on Saturday.

i believe that when he is coming from dc and returning there, marine 1 is usually how he goes. this, given the fact that he can go straight from WH right into a manhattan heliport, rather than taking the helo from the WH to andrews afb, then AF1 from andrews to a ny airport, then drive in or take another helo and repeat the process on the way back.

On September 15th (or 14th?) 2001 when President Bush went to NYC to meet with victims families and ralley the recovery workers at the World Trade Center he flew on AF1 to McGuire AFB New Jersey, where he was greeted by Mayor Giulianni and Governor Pataki. From there they took several helicopters to Manhattan heliport, he did this on a couple ocassions after 9-11 when visiting NY.

However now I think he will fly to JFK and Helio over, over the years I have seen Marine 1 and it's escorts fly very low over my House in Central Jersey the day before the President (either Clinton or Bush) were set to arrive in NYC.

Yesterday I heard "several" loud Helios flying over my house, however because of the bad weather I did not get a look but no doubt it was Marine 1, a second Marine 1 (decoy?) and two-three Chinoks as I've seen on several other occasions.

AF1 (747) was used, it's currently parked at JFK.

Sikorsky is Russian, right? Anyone find it ironic that the President flies in Russian choppers? lol

Um, no, Sikorsky is a US company based in Stratford, Conn., a subsidiary of United Technologies.

Founded by Igor Sikorsky, who was born in Czarist Russia but came to the United States and became an American citizen. BDR is named after him.
