How Does An Airline Order An Airplane?

Fri Oct 03, 2003 5:07 am

This might seem like a rather stupid question to you veterans of this site. But i have always wondered how an airline goes about ordering an airline? Do they call a special 1800 number like they would for domino's pizza? or is there a formal process? I cant imagine it being like buys a new car or something like that. Or is it? some one help  Smile

Hi,
thats a job to do for an Investment Bank Company.
A Owner/Company who wants to sell his company or parts of it give a
notice to the Investment Bank, also an investor who wants to buy a stake or a company gives a notice to an Investment Bank.
Thats their job(part of my job) to bring their clients together, give both sides what they want and if its ever possible to do the deal.
"Small" payment from both sides, perfect deal for all partners.
Ok,GalvanAir777?

There is a good article titled "Buying an Airliner, A complex process" detailing the process in the Sep/Oct edition of Airliners Magazine. It is available worldwide, you may want to take a look at it.

Regards,

markyboy.
