It's too bad that the Concorde is flying into history. The BA
concorde used to fly through OAK
on its flight around the world because OAK
was generally less restrictive on noise than other airports...including LAX
Also, Air France did a two or three week concorde promotion at OAK
that was nicknamed "Flight to nowhere." The concorde made two flights per day from OAK
to about halfway to Hawaii and back. They served delicacies on that flight. At that time, it was reported that was the first time the concorde ever made money...at $800 a pop.
So long, Concorde! It was great while it lasted!
