New Northwest Commercials

Fri Oct 03, 2003 10:33 am

Saw it yesterday for the first time. Very classy, some nice shots of the new DTW terminal as well as a great 744 in-flight shot...with the new colors of course. Very classy commercial in my opinion. Nice job NWA advertising department!

I was half watching my TV yesterday and wasn't paying attention to the commercials but I heard "Northwest Airlines" in the backgroud so i spun and looked at the tv to see the new livery 744 flying off. I was so suprised because its been quite a while since NWA did TV advertising (with the exception of local DTW stuff) Hope to see the entire thing soon. Is there a link somewhere? Its great to see their promoting this new image.

Saw it on CNN Headline news in a bar last night...
Looked up and I'm like hey, that looks like DTW....
The sound was off, but it sure looked sharp with all the interior shots of the Worldgateway

The background music is just "Na na n'na na na......n'n'na n'na na na na.....(repeat)".

I thought they were going to go the route of gangsta rap for their commercials.. I mean the new livery has NWA in big letters on the side of someday their entire fleet.. And they do have a major hub in Detroit.. I may be representing the younger generation here

The one I saw was very classy....some lady with a British accent narrating...what's up with that? Trying to copy BA's fantastic commercials.

Yeah, NW is not british, i think they need to be told that. I personally was not a huge fan of the comercials. What do people think about those new AA ones? Theyre alright, i like them better because they are more personalized.
