Whats wrong with GH DC-10? Last week we had an A-330 instead of GH`s DC-10 !!!!

P.S. Will be at HAM Airport tomorrow to see the plane and if you can`t answer me a.m. questions, I can then later!

Hi Patrick,

the original Ghana Airways DC-10 (9G-ANB) has not been used for several weeks now, it is rumoured that GH doesn't have the money to pay for the necessary Checks. They have used the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 of JAT Yugoslav Airlines for a few weeks and were to lease two ex-Hawaiian aircraft, but apparently this deal has been cancelled.

Now they struggle to wet-lease equipment to operate their flights. Last week's flight to Hamburg (HAM) and Düsseldorf (DUS) was cancelled because the Boeing 767-200 of Air Zimbabwe which was due to operate this flight didn't have the permission to fly to Germany. Perhaps this permission has now been obtained, but today's flight may also be operated by a Cameroon Airlines Boeing 767-200 which has been operating for GH in the past. It should be a -200 series aircraft.

Btw, today's flight is more than four hours late, so I hope you don't get too cold at the airport! Unfortunately I can't make it to the airport today.

Hey there
I don't think that is the aircraft that will be used on that route. Skyservice is still wet leasing The A-330-300 series to them. C-FRAE. I was looking at our schedules and there has been added flying to the ACC pairings. Doing flights From ACC to other cities in Europe. Hoping to get on one of them in the coming days.

EU-Airliner: "it is rumoured that GH doesn't have the money to pay for the necessary Checks"

GH is in very sad financial conditions. Our company still has open bills - GH doesn't pay. So take care if anybody wants to buy GH-tickets.
Same as if you would throw it out of window.

The flight was indeed operated by an Air Zimbabwe Boeing 767-200 (Z-WPE). Some sources mention that the same aircraft will fly for GH during the next weeks, too.
