What To Expect @ MUC

Tue Oct 07, 2003 10:27 pm

Next month I intend to use the new VBird service from Niederrhein to Munich.
What can I expect at Munich? Spotting facilities & airlines?

Thx in advance...

Munich is the nicest airport in Germany in my opinion.

Be sure to check out the brandnew Terminal 2 and its terrace!

In the "Besucherpark" which you can reach by walking (about 20 minutes each way) or by train from the airport, there is an aviation store, a hill from where you have a good view over the airport and, finally, there are some historic airplanes that can be visited for €1,- (I think).

There´s a great variety of airplanes and airlines that serve Munic but even if it´s less than in Frankfurt.

If you like freshly brewed beer and bavarian food, go to the "Airbräu" in Terminal 1 which offers a very nice bar and restaurant.

You´ll find further info if you follow on of these links:

Have fun in Munich!
