AA 777's (PTV's)

Wed Oct 08, 2003 10:13 am

In the picture below, why does one of the rows of seats not have PTV's installed? I'd hate to be assigned to this row.

The seats shorten from 5 to 4 in that row. The PTVs would be misaligned so they installed them so they flip out of the armrest.

Simple enough. Thanks.

PTVs are located in the arm rests for that row.

This setup is because the cabin narrows from 9-across to 8-across in that area and alignment would be out of order if the PTVs were seatback mounted.

Every seat in M/C on the 777 has a PTV, the ony exception, are the crew rest seats on the B777, which are not assigned on INTL routes...

I had a similar question yesterday. Here's a reasonably extensive discussion on PTV configuration on AA 777's.
