I'm wondering if the A330 doesn't have better glider
capabilities than say... a B767? In that case, the pilots would have had an advantage setting that big bird down on all fours

In spite of it all, I'm truly happy it ended without casualties. The pilots did a good job of averting sure disaster. Also, the aircraft is still in service to this day. And that's a good thing
