Boeing 777-200 Freighter

Thu Oct 09, 2003 2:12 pm

What BOEING seriously need to do besdies launching the 7E7 is also alongside launching the B 777-200 LR Freighter. Trust me this aircraft will make serious money for them as it can easily replace all the worlds DC 10-MD 11-old AB4/6-B767 freighters plus fly faster & longer and be more efficient.

All these Asian airlines too would love it as it can send this sort of aircraft instead of 747Fs on certain flights and make it act as a feeder to its 747F flights.

Definite customers I feel for the 772LRF would be :

What are your thoughts on this? And also whats the inside scoop on this freighter being ever launched?

this has been dicussed before a few times.

the 777 will not become a freighter as it is a pax 747 replacement [almost]. the 747 was originally developed to be a cargo aircraft only [hence the raised flight deck], boeing did not originally intent for it to carry passengers. the 747 will remain for some time in both a pax and cargo configuration, and the 777 will remain for pax service only.
