But I don't wanna see the speech it's all bullsh*t anyway...He's pretty much been saying the same thing all along anyway. Punishing those of 'the land of the free' who wish to visit one of the last 'unspoiled' places on the planet is in no way hurting Castro. It makes many of us wonder just how free we are? It's like the days when the USSR
would not permit it's citizens to leave the country without official approval. Same case with a US citizen and Cuba. (of course with the russians...that applied to leaving PERIOD! but they never boasted being a free country either.)
Regardless, look at the island of Cuba on a map, it's gigantic, if Cuba wanted to get back at the US..all they'd have to do was open up their zillions of miles of pristine Beaches to resort, casino developments and commercialism...full bore. 'drop' the whole 'Revolution is Coming Anyday Now ' crap...and cash will flow in there like water from a dam. In no time, they'd have enuff capitalist ventures up and running to rain on Las Vegas' parade (and Atlantic City). Sap the energy of South Beach and South Florida, and they'll have Disney wanting to set up shop in no time. But if they dropped the 'Revolution' crap...that's all the US wants..and we open up everything to them. But when if they do of their own volition..they may still penalize the US, just to piss us off. What I mean is limit US carrier services. Flymia pointed out above that AA AE CO
go there....just march up to the ticket counter and try to by a ticket without US State Department approval.
Be sure to let us know what happens.
