Omni Air International Flight Attendants

Mon Oct 13, 2003 12:17 pm

OAI has a FA open house here in Orlando this coming Tuesday. They are recruiting for the BWI base. I know that they do the military charters to Germany on their DC-10's. I am really interested in charter. Someone told me that all I would be doing is Frankfurt turns with no overnights. I don't see how that could be possible. If there are any OAI FA's on that could tell me exactly what kind of flying I would be doing. I would be very greatful. Flying for a regional is burning me out......BADLY!!!!!!

Thank you,

Omni Air International offers scheduled passenger charter service. Currently they fly DC-10 from LAS-HNL on behalf of Boyd Casino's Vacations Hawaii and Northwest Airlines's MLT Vacations. Soon they'll operate MSP-LAS and LAS-HNL with the B757 for MLT.

Well, unless they bought another DC-10 they BETTER not. If they drop one of my flights I'll have something to say about it.

Omni is actually pretty cheap.... you don't get paid training, and it will probably be in Vegas or Minneapolis, although I'm pretty sure they still do the evac training at MSP.

There's not a lot to Omni, you don't get interline benefits, just an FYI. So only you could fly on a select FEW other airlines, and not your friends, partner, spouse, children, parents, etc.

In regards to Frankfurt military charters, you do in fact overnight or rest in Frankfurt.

Actually Omni Air F/As do get paid for their training (as my roomate and next door neighbour are in training right now for them) and all the the training is done in LAS.All the F/As that are currently in training are being sent to the BWI base.
