6A is not considered a Hub & Spoke airline. They are a point to point airline, since most of the people that fly on 6A
do not make connections. And this applies to Mexico City mostly.
They have recently started to make MTY
a hub with some flight coordination for connections, but only because they are not aloud to fly non-stop from Mexico City to destinations in the US that are already served by MX
. It is obvious that the flights they are opening to international destinations like MIA
need passenger feeding because otherwise they would leave half empty from MTY
and won't be profitable.
Aviacsa has found in MTY
a good place to grow, because Mexico City is full and has a strong competition from airlines like ZE, AM
