FedEx A300 & A310 Question.

Fri Oct 17, 2003 8:53 am

I heard from a friend recently that some of the FedEx A300 and A310's operate with a flight engineer. I've been on American's A300's and they are a two pilot aircraft with full glass. Any truth to this?

The very first A300s were three man cockpits, but they quickly added the forward facing cockpit as an option, which pretty much everyone took.

As I think all of FedEx's A300s are -600Rs, then no, its pretty definite that there isn't a flight engineer station.

No A310s were ever produced with 3 cockpit stations.

All the Fedex A300's are indeed the -600 version. All Fedex 300/310 aircraft are 2 crew.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.
