I have started this topic myself not long ago but can't find it with the
search function (couldn't you specify how far back you would like to search
before?). Anyway, just saw "Airport 80". Here are some of the funnies.
The Concorde takes off from the US and is immediately attacked by a
goalseeking robot. After a few rolls (!) the Concorde escapes and does not
turn back but just continues over the Atlantic. Still over the Atlantic, close
to Paris it gets attacked by an F4 Phantom (!) that shoots a few
air-to-air heat seaking missiles at it. Nothing that the now seasoned cockpit
crew can't handle. A few rolls (!), a LOOP (!) with the second officer shooting flares out of the now opened cockpit window (!) takes care of that attack.
They happily land in Paris, breaking a few nets that's been set up across the runway, and coming to a complete halt just meters from the end of the runway, courtesy of the last net that didn't break. All this because the
Concorde was so damaged after all these attacks and extreme flying.
Everybody happily disembarks and 2 (!) technicians are called to give the Concorde a check. The morning after everybody embarks for a continued flight (!!!) with the very same aircraft (!!!) to the final destination, Moscow.
No investigation whatsoever how it is possible with such bad luck as this
flight had and no search for structural damage on the aircraft after flying
like a Sukhoi display airplane.
Hmmmm, a robot attack on the US east coast followed by a fighter attack
near Paris followed by an emergency landing because of malfunctioning
systems after having performed rolls, a looping, an extremely hard take up after a dive etc, etc.
Anyway, on the new leg from Paris to Moscow the freight door comes open,
first just making people suspiscious with the noice and the carpet on
the floor acting strange and minor stuff like that. Here we have the Concorde
flying with an open cargo door and people aboard are not too disturbed.
Well, the whole story ends happily when after bellylanding the Concorde in
the midst of the Alps (large, rocky, mountains you know, easy to find a
good landing spot) everybody gets out of the aircraft and 5 seconds later
the plane tastefully explodes. Talk about lucky passengers and talk about
