Concorde Ferried To MAN On Friday 31st?

Tue Oct 28, 2003 9:41 pm

Can anyone confirm that Concorde G-BOAC is being ferried to Manchester for display on the aviation park? If so what time is it expected?

That's the plan, dept LHR at 10.10 am, staff on board, not me, I'm hopeful for a Seattle one!
Light, spectacular take off, but subsonic routing with only 28 tons of fuel for a short trip.

Light, spectacular take off...

LOL! Big grin

You can say that again! The light fuel load for the hop from Manchester back to LHR on the 22nd caught me by surprise I can tell you! There I was expecting a typically shallow climbout only to be faced with this monster Zoom climb from halfway down the runway! Still, I managed to capture a few half decent shots!

Cheers!
