Alaska/Horizon (frontier Express) Fleet? PDX?

Wed Oct 29, 2003 10:05 pm

Im wondering how many deliveries both Alaska and Horizon have yet to receive?

What types?

Will the Frontier operation by Horizon by operated by all CRJ7s?

I maybe moving to PDX and am very interested in the fleet make up of these two carriers.

Any info is cool.

If I understand right Alaska has been on a small pull back at PDX and Horizon on a small ramp up. What else is going on at PDX with these two? Are we going to see expansion overall at PDX?

Horizon CRJ-700's will start operating the Frontier JetExpress flights in January. Initial routes from DEN will include cities like OKC, BOI, TUS, and ONT. ELP should see some CR7 service before too long.

Once Oregon economy improves, I'm sure Alaska will restore most flights with some additional service and destinations.....

Alaska and Horizon own Portland. They have close to 150 departures per day. Service to most California cities, Vegas, Phoenix, Oregon, Idaho, Washington and BC. Horizon operates every :30 minutes to Seattle, so nothing is far away in the Alaska/Horizon system, including the East Coast. Horizon added Santa Barbara and Billings to the Portland schedules in the past year.
