I expected this service to return, especially since AA
has a code-sharing deal with SBN
Brussels and service to New York is especially important for the large number of passengers flying from Africa to the US via Brussels. Since Sabena closed down, the number of flights between Brussels and New York have been very much reduced....I fly from BRU
on Continental about once a month (just upgraded from a 762 to a 764) and BusinessFirst is almost always 100% full regardless of day or season (trying to get an award ticket on this route is quite difficult and requires months of planning) and economy goes out (according to airline employees at BRU
) about 95+% full in the summer and about 80% full even in the winter and low-season periods which is very good, especially since cheap fares on this route are very much controlled.
