How is that new runway going to change landing/takeoff configurations? A normal IAH
runway configuration, before the new runway was:
- Landing: 26 (now 26L), 27
- Departing: 15L, 15R, 26 (now 26L)
So my guess is, for all three east-west runways operational and the same wind direction as above:
- Landing: 26R, 27, 26L
- Departing: 15L, 15R, 26L
When they close 9/27, maybe they'll use 26L/8R only for landings, for a parallel operation with 26R/8L.
