I can help you with the flights to/from Brazil.
New York - Manaus: you have to go via GRU
. All flights from JFK
make a stop in GRU
and then continues to other destinations (GIG
, Belo Horizonte, or other countries in South America). You can choose Varig, UA
, Jal or AA
. Then you can go to Manaus with TAM, Varig or VASP (but VASP's flights has 4 or 2 stops depending on the flight).
Manaus - Rio de Janeiro: You may choose between the two Rio's airports: Galeao (GIG
) or Santos Dumont (SDU
). There are 3 options to GIG
: 2 with Varig and one with GOL (low-cost), but GOL has 4 stops between Manaus and GIG
(the flight is: Manaus-Belem-Fortaleza-Recife-Salvador-Rio de Janeiro). It's a very long flight and much more expensive. If you choose SDU
, there's only one option, that is with GOL. The flight is shorte than the one to GIG
, and much cheaper. It has only one stop between Manaus and SDU
Rio de Janeiro - Iguassu Falls: There are only flight departing in GIG
, and you have 3 options: two with VASP and one with Varig. All flights has one stop. (It's better to come from Manaus to SDU
, and than change airports and go to Iguassu from GIG
Iguassu Falls - Buenos Aires: There's only one flight (with Varig) that is: Foz do Iguacu - Curitiba - GRU
- Buenos Aires (EZE
). So, it gets a bit long (about 6h20min). If you take a flight from Iguassu Falls to GRU
, and there you take another flight to Buenos Aires (take only direct flights), you will save time (the trip will take about 5h45min) and money (I think).
Well, if you need any other information about it, ask me. I'll try to help you.
