Problems In Denver

Thu Nov 06, 2003 12:44 am

I was watching the flight tracker for the Rapid City airport. I noticed that two flights had different flight patterns.

Flight 6837 which is an UAL flight operated by sky west which was to be a RAP-DEN flight turned out to be a RAP-GJT.

Flight 5190 operated by Great Lakes Aviation was to be a RAP-DEN but turned out to be a RAP-CYS.

My question is there something happening in Denver today that is diverting flights to other surrounding cities?

Asmtrd.
Skywest 6837 was a weather divirsion to gjt (common div point for flights to den and slc)
can't find anything on great lakes 5190 great lakes has a history of changing the destination of a flight but always ends up in rap. I have seen den-cdr-rap during the rally and there was a flight from den-rap-some city in utah during the rally also. Also CYS is great lakes hdqt possible mechanical divirsion

The only thing wrong with DIA or DEN for that matter was a little snow and MESA's ontime performance.

There was fog in Denver on Wednesday, which cause a number of flights to divert to other cities. PUB got quite a few diversions.
