News On Italy First?

Thu Nov 06, 2003 2:34 am

Italy First is a small airline who started with two ATR-42s from Rimini. They had more expansive plans reported in 2000 but its future was in doubt when the owner, Stefano Patacconi, commited suicide late 2001. The two ATRs are hardly photographed or reported since

. Does anyone know if the airline is still operating, possibly based in Rimini? Which routes? Any new plans to expand or use other planes?
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

I heard that either Minerva or some other ATR operator in Italy is buying it... but it's not Dolomiti. Heard this news about last year.

It's been doing Alitalia/Minerva flights from Malpensa from time to time.
I know someone who flew a Minerva flight from GOA/LIMJ to MXP/LIMC on an Italy First ATR early in the year (pre-May)
