An-124 In SLC Tonight

Thu Nov 06, 2003 3:15 pm

Hey all you SLC spotters out there. Are you tired of photographing the same old Delta RJ and 737's over and over again? Well here is an unusual break in pattern. A story on Fox 13 tonight talks about a "large aircraft" in SLC for the night. Apparently they had no idea what kind of "large aircraft" it is, they only ever refer to it as "The large aircraft". However, from the little footage they showed, I'm pretty sure that it's an An-124. They said it flew in this evening (11/5), is being loaded with cargo throughout the night, and then is scheduled for departure tomorrow morning (11/6) around 7:00am. So anyone out there looking for a break in the monotony... Here is your chance. I'm still kicking myself for missing that Aeroflot 777 that was here last July! So you can bet I'll be out there bright & early tomorrow morning taking any pictures I can, and submitting them to A.net ASAP. I realize this is late notice, but I just found out myself! Happy spotting!
