Just thought I'd make you all jealous. I booked a hell of a deal for next spring. I get 8 days in Britain, from SEA to LHR for only $313! Killer deal eh?!  Laugh out loud

I'm way stoked.. the flight plan looks like this:

Change planes. Time between flights: 2hr 26min

United Airlines 930
Depart: 12:35pm San Francisco, CA (SFO)
Arrive: 6:55am London, United Kingdom (LHR)
10hr 20min
Boeing 747
--------------------------------------------
total duration: 14hr 55min

Return
Thursday, Mar 18

United Airlines 949

You can find these fares on any airline serving LON from BA's USA gateways.

Wow, amazing! I wonder what BA is charging on their daily nonstop from SEA to LHR (used to be served by a 742, now by a 744, and it sure is a welcome sight!). If you had a choice, would you take the United flight (with connections) or the nonstop offered by BA? However you do it, happy flying! I wish I can find deals like that when I fly to Asia...can't beat Europe for 300 buckaroos!

To fly 5000+ miles to the UK for 313 USD is dirt cheap, great time to fly over the atlantic. Give us a trip report if you can.  Smile

Oh Sure! Get my hopes up that United is bringing back Seattle-Heathrow nonstop service, which they bought from Pan Am.

I found $290 on VS all taxes included LAX-LHR for a February trip  Smile Very tempting for a quick jaunt!

Justplanesmart: As far as I know, UA still owns the authority. I was talking with a BA employee Weds. at BFI after the Concorde arrived, and asked if they would ever start up a 2nd nonstop from SEA to LHR. He thought they would eventually, as there's enough demand during the summer.

Note to UA: seasonal summer service from SEA to LHR on 777.

I don't know if SEA was part of the deal, but the past 3 days BA was offering $200 RT from many airports in the US to LHR

I booked my 1st flight on a 777 last night from ORD to LHR.

Birdy: Enjoy your first 777 flight...I have to wait until 7/10 for my first. I can hardly wait.

I usually fly UA via IAD, and will be doing SEA-IAD-LHR next summer. The return LHR-IAD is my first on a 744.

I can only hope that UA will consider restarting SEA-LHR, even if on a seasonal basis to start.
