I read on a dutch newssite (luchtvaartnieuws.nl http://www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl/news/?id=2481 ) Ryanair is reviewing routes from STN to GRQ/EIN and MST. This because their planes are not FULLy booked.
I don't understand why they want to close a route or two because they almost never use their formerly BUZZ BAE146's. So if they'd use them more often we can assume the plane/route is full instead of using a 737 which of course has more seats needed to be filled in order to be FULL.
My concern/guess, GRQ will be ended, no airline has ever been able to make it profitable.
EVEN RYANAIR IS NOT ABLE TO DO MAKE PROFIT on GRQ.
(I hope I'm wrong , I chased figures and statistics but are not available, but I wouldn't be surprised)
So adding to this, also wouldn't be surprised they don't use the smaller aircraft they have, but rather try to get some extra money from the dutch airports.
give me your opinion if you know more,
thanks & rgds, Plane Holland
