Airbus Website, Possible Error?

Sun Nov 09, 2003 1:16 pm

It was my understanding that Singapore Airlines did not take delivery of the A340's they had on order, and instead Boeing bought them and sold 777's to them instead. According to the front page of the Airbus website they have them?

TONIGHT WE FLY
No refueling stops, no connection delays, no hassle…and a whole lot of buzz. With the new A340-500 and -600, Airbus allows you to reach out to destinations that have never before been linked by non-stop flights.

Check out our new movie showreel feature to find out more about the A340-500 and 600, and why customers like Singapore Airlines, South African Airways and Emirates are so excited.

It was the 300s that Boeing took towards their 777 order a few years ago. SQ still ordered the 500 and nothing has changed as far as that goes.
