Mission Statement / Vision Of Virgin Atlantic

Thu Nov 13, 2003 9:09 am

Hello,

My group and I are doing a project for our Airline Management course at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

We need to find the mission statement and vision for Virgin Atlantic, but we have been unable to come across it.

If anyone happens to know what it is, or where we can find it, please leave a post here.

Thanks a bunch!

G'day Jetboytwa

I recently finished an assignment on Strategy/HR re: aviaiton business managemnet. In my readings i didn't find Vigin Atlantic's mission statement but i came across a book which referred to their philosophy. It said that they perceived themself "as being at least in part entertainers". Don't know if it's of any help....

Ryan

Hi there. I work for VS and found this on the company internal site. Hope it helps.

"Mission Statement: To grow a profitable airline which people love to fly and where people love to work."

Cheers

I can confirm that the one Airchabum posted is the actual one  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Reading Branson's authobiography can also give you an idea of the philosophy behind his businesses.

The book's called Changing Planes: A Strategic Management Perspective on an Industry in Transition: Situation Analysis by Holloway. It was a very quick reference to VS but a good book for buisness and corporate-level strategies and missions etc...
