U.S. Airports That Use Regional Jet Bridges

Thu Nov 20, 2003 1:40 am

I was simply wondering if there are any U.S. airports that use those jet bridges which I believe typically start out at ground level and can be used for prop aircraft alone with RJs, thanks for any info!

Traverse City Michigan.. KTVC.

When AE used to fly the ATR-72, they used the bridges. The ERJ's use it now.

Mesaba uses the bridge for the Avro. I want to say that I have seen a Saab 340 also at the bridge, I could be wrong though. Pinnacle's CRJ's use it.

At CLT:
US Airways Express carriers have them on Concourse E, and there are a few in Concourse A for CO Express and American Eagle.

At PHL, besides F, AA docks ERJ's to regular jetbridges in A-East...
At DEN, half of Concourse 1 is dedicated to UA Express and they use jetbridges there as well, mostly CRJ's...

MSP has a pretty new Regional Terminal. I've flown through a couple times now and it's real nice. They use jetways for ARJs, CRJs, and S340s. Dunno if they have any ERJs. One of my friends has a real nice website about MSP if you want more info- http://www.mspupdate.com/index.htm I also know that CO uses jetways for its ERJs (well COex at least) at EWR.

Here at GSP, I know CO uses them for it's RJ's, but for some reason US (our major carrier here) doesn't, and I'm not sure about the others...

PHX terminal 4 uses them for the RJs only (HP); Of course you're hoofing the tarmac for the turboprops...

a brief reminder, I'm refering to the ground level jet bridges, many of you have mentioned the ones that are designed for full size aircraft and are lowered down to RJ level.
Thanks!
